er&l highlights/ schedule
Book flights for arrival on Sunday early evening. Book departing flights for Wednesday afternoon. Taking workshops? Take note of the date! Workshops are planned for Sunday and Wednesday afternoons.
Sunday: Plan to arrive on Sunday for a casual, easy start to the conference at the UT-hosted ER&L Welcome reception. On Sunday, collect your badge from registration, get the lay of the land and join your colleagues at the informal Welcome reception. Several workshop options are available on Sunday afternoon. You’ll want to be well rested for a packed Monday schedule.
Monday: ER&L kicks off on Monday morning with an early, full breakfast, an opening keynote, sessions and keeps going through the evening’s Vendor Reception & Tabletop Exhibit. Vendor sponsored lunch sessions complement your full day of sessions. If you attend breakfast, take in sessions all day and the welcome reception, your day runs from ~7am-9pm. (Pace yourself!)
Tuesday: Much like Monday, ER&L starts with an early breakfast with sessions all day. Lunch sessions are on the agenda, but a little downtime post lunch is scheduled.
Wednesday: Breakfast is once again early and sessions go for a half day. The closing session ends around 12noon. Most registrants take a few hours to check out the city before an afternoon/ early evening departure. If you registered for a workshop, your ER&L Conference day ends at 5pm, Workshop attendees can plan for a Wednesday evening or Thursday departure.
What about downtime/snacks? Snacks, hot food and drinks are served every few hours (no exaggeration!) If you need downtime or a place to plant to check in with the office, use the hotel lobby or lovely hotel courtyard with strong wifi. If you have a large group organizing a meet up (larger than 8 people) contact ER&L to find an official meeting spot for your group. ER&L is able to support regional, consortial or other themed meet-ups in ER&L meeting rooms.
